The Katikati Library & Community hub "Patuki Manawa" brings the active street back through the curving uretara insipired covered walkway, past murals by local artists to arrive at the landscaped plaza joining the 2 new buildings. Playful use of colours bring the interior of the library to life while the hub is a calm environment with moveable walls, full kitchen and a variety of options for space useage ready for all the uses required by the local community. The Kaimai mountain ranges inscribed on the external concrete precast panels bring a sense of place and connection to the surroundings of Katikati itself
