BACKGROUND

First Principles Architects and Interiors are a Tauranga based practice. The practice was established at the beginning of 2013 by the Founding Director Graham Price together with his wife Kate Price is also a co-owner, partner and Interior Designer.

Graham and Kate’s vision was to create a bespoke design studio in the Bay of Plenty, specializing in Commercial, Retail, Mixed Use, Hospitality, Urban design and multi-residential architecture. This career direction was based on 30 years of experience in at least 4 countries, including the UK, Africa, New Zealand and the Pacific, designing and building many projects for clients such as owner-occupiers, developers, and the public sector.

First Principles now concentrates on working with our clients in New Zealand throughout the Bay of Plenty and the Waikato. However, we have resources to provide architectural services wherever our clients would like us to partner with them. Graham has worked extensively throughout the Pacific and designs exclusive projects in the Islands.
