Elstow Waihou is a prominent primary rural school located in Te Aroha with a roll of approx 120 students. 

 

The design brief was the refurbishment of 2 existing classrooms and providing a link to the cloak area and wet area which also needed refurbishment.

 

In addition, the existing library required significant upgrading to provide much needed additional light and connection to the exterior, while providing a stimulating environment for the children and good solutions for book display. 

 

The team worked with the school on developing innovative solutions that meet the school’s requirements while remaining within budget constraints.
