The Wairakei Golf Course and Wildlife Sanctuary is an Internationally known destination and one of the premier Golf Courses in New Zealand.

 

First Principles Architects & interiors were engaged by the client to design the new Wairakei Lodge to compliment this unique and very special natural environment & wildlife sanctuary.

 

The Lodge has been fully master planned with a preliminary design for 20 x 3 bedroom villas providing an accommodation pool of 60 rooms, all with en suite bathrooms.

 

Each villa is ‘twin keyed’ with a split relaxation deck overlooking Fairway No 1 and the Reserve.

 

The external appearance has dark timber cladding, stone feature walls, outdoor fire places and a steeply pitched roof of various heights to integrate into the heavily treed landscape.

The main lodge has a reception area, 2 bars, a restaurant and wrap around verandahs overlooking Fairways 1 and 2 and some Tee Boxes.
