The opportunity to develop the site adjacent to Trends Head Office was seized by the client. His vision for the new building was the creation of a timeless architectural solution sympathetic to its location and the existing Trends building.
The decision to locate 6 apartments on the fifth floor with 2 levels of offices of 1,000m2 floorplates and 2 levels of car parking resulted in a true mixed use building. The existing Trends café used by both staff and the public also provides a complimentary amenity.
The maximum height of 12 metres resulted in a flat roof over the apartments. Through a series of courtyards each apartment has a protected external environment that traps the winter sun.
Each apartment also had a very specific brief to suit each clients needs. The layouts, interior design and selection of finishes and fittings reflect this individuality.
