The design to fully re furbish and build extensive additions to 60 Oceanview Rd, was one that the client considered for a long time. This unique location on the highest part of the ridge formed by sand dunes, meant that the house had 270 degree views.

The 35 year old 3 storey house required an internal upgrade of finishes and fittings throughout. With 2 young children growing up quickly, the need for more open plan space leading onto the decks and a new family room and atrium meant that the house increased in size considerably.

The sloping site was levelled with the construction of a 4 metre Crib Wall giving space for recreation and a new swimming pool.

The main living spaces are on the middle level to suit the sloping site and great views. The existing Tawa floor will be given a new lease of life and be extended into the new Family Room which opens onto an outdoor room with feature fireplace and BBQ.

Very high quality new finishes and fittings have been selected throughout the entire house giving a fresh contemporary feel in contrast to the more traditional external appearance.
