Under construction is a new 2 storey plus basement level replacement for the previous Mount Maunganui Lifeguard Service Clubhouse.

The new striking design opens the building up toward the beach and inludes wide views over the Mount main beach from the main level function room and deck. The upper level allows space for visting lifeguards as well as a space to co-ordinate emergency rescues from a promiment position within the area.
