LEE STREET HOUSE

The house at 19 Lee Street was a typical house built in the 80’s with plaster exterior, clay tile roof and little or no eaves built over two levels. The initial brief was to open up the kitchen and dining area and to create a en suite and family bathroom from the original single bathroom.

This scope soon grew to include new exterior cladding with architectural details and a new roof to ensure the future weather tightness of the building and to improve the overall look.

The client is a very active single dad with 3 equally active children so the spaces needed to function to accommodate this and also to provide a bright but neutral canvas to display his colourful art collection.

The kitchen size and storage was doubled to provide an effficient and modern space that allows the children to use the area for both meals and homework and to hang out together.

The lighting and wardrobes were upgraded throughout and the external deck was extended for a more useable entertainment area for the family and friends.
