This site is located in a beautiful part of Fiji and the natural bay is connected through the reef with a deep harbour break and channel. The bay is also surrounded by native bush and trees, together with small estuaries on both sides. The client vision for the site is to create a New Fijian Resort, on this unique beach front location

Through client design workshops and the Masterplanning process, this provided the opportunity for more than one resort, which would be all fully integrated with an holistic design approach. The design philosophy respects the natural environment and the total development should lightly and sensitively connect with the land with sustainable attributes.

The client’s Vision is aspirational and looks ahead to the future. The design, engineering and quality of construction will be progressive to create an exciting Contemporary Resort Complex. However, the roots of the development will be based on traditional Fijian Values. The inspiration of the design will reflect on the context of Cuvu Bay, the local people and their Fijian heritage to reinforce the identity of this unique place.
